Install a tow ball with a wiring harness beforehand. Just as with a tow-hitch bike rack, your rear visibility will be reduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, your bikes may get damaged because they can bump into each other, and you won’t have access to your trunk during the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n THE ROOF-MOUNTED BIKE RACK <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A roof-mounted bike rack takes up less space and is very convenient, but it\u2019s less fuel-efficient due to wind resistance. Among its many advantages are its compatibility<\/strong> with a wide range of vehicles, the minimal storage space it requires, and the unobstructed rear visibility it provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Like other types of bike racks, it also has its drawbacks. It adds height to your vehicle, which can sometimes be a problem (especially if it\u2019s already tall).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also, as mentioned earlier, the wind resistance of bicycles leads to increased fuel<\/strong> consumption and, consequently, more pollution…<\/p>\n\n\n\n One last tip from Polaire: Buy a lock<\/strong> to keep your bikes from being stolen!
